With over 30 years experience in retail real estate, Jim brings an extensive background in tenant representation, shopping center development deals, project leasing and anchor deals along with disposition services.
Jim brought his experience and knowledge to John T. Evans Company, Inc., a full service real estate brokerage company since 1994 specializing in retail brokerage, land sales, restaurants, site selection and investment sales. John T. Evans Company, Inc. is a member of the RARE Connection with restaurant specialists across the country. Jim is an expert in fast casual (QSR) and fast food restaurants. Jim’s clients include Schlotzsky’s (over 20 deals), Dairy Queen (over 12 deals) and IHOP (over 5 deals). Jim specializes in brokering pad sites to users and retail developers identifying the best sites for his clients and leasing strip centers up to 100%.
Prior to joining John T. Evans Company, Inc. in 2009, Jim had a seven year career with United Commercial Realty (UCR). While at UCR Jim implemented site selection strategies for Panda Express, taking them from six units in DFW to forty units and earning an award for Most Deals Closed in a Year.
In addition, Jim had a 17 year career with CB Richard Ellis, Inc. He was responsible for creating a market strategy for the entrance of Petsmart, REI, Sears Homelife Furniture and Candlewood Hotels into DFW. Also, Jim managed a national disposition program for Pier 1 Imports resulting in the successful buyout of over 20 stores.
Jim has been a Top Producer at John T. Evans and secured numerous awards including the John T. Evans Company No. 2 Producer of 2015 and 2017, and No. 3 Producer of 2014, UCR’s Top Ten Award in 2004, 2nd Place from Panda Express for most store openings in 2005, and Rookie of the Year at CB Richard Ellis. Member of International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Away from work he enjoys Yoga, golf and reading.
